CBT Psychology for Personal Development is a warm, professional, and thoughtful practice. Silvina has built a kind and highly skilled team that genuinely cares about providing quality support to clients.

I had a pleasant experience in my time with the staff. Personal development and working through life experiences towards healing and growth is a lifelong endeavour that no one person or exercise can achieve. That being said, I am happy with the progress I have made. Thank you to the staff and people in my life who have helped along the way. 🙏

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with my experience at this psychology centre I originally sought help here because I was struggling and wanted professional support. I invested a significant amount of money and time working with one of the providers, but unfortunately, that experience was not helpful. The provider I was assigned to initially was not a good fit and I felt that she lacked the compassion, insight, and communication skills necessary to support someone dealing with anxiety and complex emotional challenges. Rather than feeling supported or understood, I often left sessions feeling worse than when I came in. It made me question whether I should even be trying therapy again. Eventually, again after several months, I did my own research on the clinic’s website and found another provider who seemed much more aligned with what I was looking for. I reached out to book an appointment with that specific provider, hoping for a better experience this time. But instead of a simple scheduling process, I was asked — over email — to provide very personal and detailed information about my mental health history and current issues, all before even being allowed to book. To make things worse, shortly after, I received an email that my appointment was cancelled, with no warning or proper explanation, and I was encouraged to continue discussing my issues over email instead. This felt completely inappropriate, unprofessional, and borderline unethical. In Ontario, under PHIPA (Personal Health Information Protection Act), health information is supposed to be protected. Collecting sensitive personal history through unsecured email communication, without my consent or even a clear reason, raises serious legal and ethical concerns. Being denied access to care and abruptly cancelled without any clear communication or support has only worsened emotional distress I was already struggling with. I came to this clinic for help — not to be pushed away, ignored, and treated like an inconvenience. Can you believe I got a cancellation email? Without any explanation yet another email to talk about my problems? Their approach made me feel even more discouraged about seeking mental health support. Mental health care should be trauma-informed, sensitive, and accessible, not tangled in red tape or handled with cold, bureaucratic responses. Instead of finding support, I found judgment, confusion, and more emotional harm. It’s incredibly disappointing and upsetting. I sincerely hope this clinic re-evaluates their approach to intake, consent, and communication — especially with vulnerable clients who are reaching out for help. No one should have to go through this just to access care.

I had high hopes for this couples therapy session based on the reviews, and I must say the administrative staff was fantastic—very kind and accommodating. Unfortunately, the session itself was a major letdown. Dr. Galperin did not facilitate the conversation as I expected; instead, my partner and I were left to go back and forth without any real guidance. There was no structure to the session, and I found myself unsure of what the process was supposed to look like. Rather than feeling supported or that we were working toward solutions, the session felt more like an unmoderated argument. I came into therapy looking for a professional to help us navigate difficult conversations, but I left feeling unheard and unsupported. There were several attempts to ask for guidance, however the therapist did not answer the question and instead defaulted to “that’s a personal choice”. Attending this session, I hoped to get a little more clarity on my relationship, however I felt feeling more confused. While the staff’s professionalism stood out, I cannot recommend this service based on the actual therapy experience.

CBT Psychology staff and practitioners are amazing. Dr Galperin is so friendly, helpful and pays attention to what patients say. She genuinely cares for others and has created a beautiful and safe place for all the people to walk through her doors. She has very good bedside manners and is very efficient. I would recommend this clinic.

Dr. Silvina Galperin is an excellent therapist and my go-to referral source. She’s a warm, compassionate and deeply insightful clinician with a wonderful, well trained staff. I have referred many many clients to her over the years and always received excellent feedback.

I took the Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy course with them a few months ago. It was an excellent experience, and it is helping me a lot in these difficult times. All the therapists that led the course were outstanding, excellent in their field, and very compassionate.

My experience has only been positive for counseling and therapy. Their schedulers and very helpful in getting you paired with the right psychologist depending on your needs. I could tell all of their therapists work with depression and anxiety but I had questions about ADHD counseling and marriage counseling and who was best for that. I highly suggest them for counseling in Toronto.

A superb team of mental health professionals. I attended a very beneficial workshop on Mindfulness Meditation with Dr. Galperin. The experiential session was highly educational and a safe space for self-care. I appreciated Dr. Galperin's professionalism and compassionate approach. Right from the start participants felt comfortable and engaged. As a provider of mental health services myself, I have recommended CBT Psychology for Personal Development services to youth, adults and parents, knowing that their personal issues and needs would be carefully assessed and treated by a team of experienced clinicians.

I attended all 8 sessions of the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. The course was facilitated by Dr. Galperin, a very knowledgeable professional who made the participants feel comfortable and safe while sharing their personal experiences. The atmosphere was cozy and friendly. We were encouraged to work in small groups and were provided with very useful hands-out. I highly recommend this course to anyone looking to learn how to deal with stress, anxiety and other mental health issues.
