“Choosing Amanda Buckle as my Birth Doula was easily one of the best decisions I made during my pregnancy. From our very first meeting, she made me feel completely at ease and listened closely to my wishes for the birth of my daughter. As a single mother by choice, I knew I'd need to lean on a doula even more than most as she was my main support person. I can't imagine not having Amanda by my side before, during and after the birth. Amanda's support during labor was absolutely invaluable – she was a calming presence, offering gentle guidance and reassurance every step of the way. Amanda helped me advocate for my birth plan and ensured I felt empowered throughout the entire 5 day labour, even when ultimately it ended in a c-section. I felt completely supported both emotionally and physically, and I'm so grateful for her dedication, expertise, compassion, and unwavering support. I'd highly recommend Amanda to anyone looking for a doula who truly cares! In addition, I went to Amanda during my pregnancy for acupuncture as she is also a registered Acupuncturist which I'd also highly recommend her for. She is very skilled and knowledgeable and it was very helpful in my pregnancy to reduce discomfort and prepare my body for birth. “I can recommend Amanda for birth prep acupuncture, stress relief, and in particular for pelvic girdle pain treatment. I saw other professionals in hopes to get rid of, or minimize, this pain in hips and back that occured 8 weeks before my due date, but none of the physio, massage or chiro therapy proved as effective as the acupuncture. After just two sessions the pain was almost completely gone, and the difference immediately after each session was incredible. I felt so relaxed after each treatment, too, both physically and mentally. Also, I have no doubts the acupuncture works for other purposes, too - my baby arrived but a day after a session that included preparing my uterus for birth! I think that says it all. I should also mention Amanda's flexibility with rescheduling appointments when needed and that she always readily offered words of advice and encouragement anytime we talked about my health and that of my family.
