“I've been working with kinesiologist Julie for over a year - and I am so thankful I found her! I have osteoporosis and I feel so comfortable doing the excercises she advises. Julie is very knowledgeable about body mechanics and safe movement, and is able to communicate that information in such a way that I understand why I'm doing what she is asking. “I have been seeing Vicki for six months now for kinesiologist-led Pilates to improve my core strength and balance after dealing with injuries that left my body unbalanced. From day one, Vicki has been amazing. She carefully assessed my situation and worked with me step by step to help me regain balance and core stability. Vicki also incorporated exercises prescribed by my physiotherapist, which was incredibly helpful. She is kind, professional, and truly dedicated to her clients’ progress. When I started, I couldn’t stand on one foot even with support—my other foot would immediately fall and touch the ground, and I would wobble right away. Now, I’ve gained strength in my ankles and can balance for well over 40 seconds—and even up to a minute if she doesn’t stop me! The overall improvement in my balance and strength has been remarkable. “I have found that Align Family Fitness has been beneficial to my overall well being. They have been an integral part of my life over the last 2.5 years. I have always been a member of a gym. “Align is a clean, bright, well-equipped studio with excellent therapists. I am an active senior (walking, running and golf), and have been working with kinesiologist Julie for over a year. She has been great in helping me improve mobility in my feet, hips and shoulders. In many cases, I didn't even realize that I had restrictions that were hampering my movement. As well as providing personalized stretches and exercises, Julie explains why they are important and gives very detailed cues, to help you perform them correctly. I have recently been receiving treatments from the osteopath Vishal, and I always come away feeling great. Like Julie, he welcomes questions, and is more than happy to explain how he is treating you.
