I am a seasoned psychologist with a focus on individual, couples and Adult family counselling & Organizational Psychology. I work with adults dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, life coaching, career coaching and return to work. I am committed to helping you to identify your strengths while enhancing your resiliency and coping strategies so that you can successfully manage and overcome the situations that you are facing. My commitment is in supporting you to build a meaningful fulfilling life. I am action-oriented and solutions-focused and provide a supportive and empathic therapeutic approach. I have been practicing as a licenced psychologist for for over 14 years (in Alberta), since 2021 (in Ontario) and since 2022 (in Nova Scotia). I am also a licenced psychologist in South Africa since 2003. My focus areas include counselling psychology and organizational/industrial psychology. I am currently completing her PhD in psychology with a focus on post-traumatic growth, resiliency and thriving. I have received numerous professional awards and has been featured in articles and on podcasts. I am a seasoned speaker and facilitator/trainer and have been the key-note speaker at various events. I was born and raised in apartheid South Africa, and I share the same Alma Maters as Nelson Mandela, Bishop Desmond Tutu and Winnie Mandela (the latter with whom I shared classes). I was also part of the first wave of Black/BIPOC intelligentsia in South Africa tasked with transforming the country from an autocracy to a democracy. I am a passionate advocate for social justice and have been active throughout my life and professional career to promote change including lobbying for changes to Canadian and South African legislation. I am fluent in two languages and have a working knowledge of five other languages. My passions outside of myr clinical and social justice work include travelling, the outdoors and fitness. I enjoy running marathons, hiking, snow shoeing, Latin music and latin and ballroom dancing, cooking, gardening, watching movies, reading, listening to podcasts and DIY.
