About Yunjeong

Senior Instructor, CEO Yunjeong began her teaching career as a yoga instructor in 2006 before being introduced to the Pilates method. She started with contemporary Pilates in 2013 but soon fell in love with the Classical system, finding in it not only strength but a profound sense of connection and purpose. She first trained with Polestar Pilates and later completed her comprehensive certification with Power Pilates in 2017. Continuing her journey, she has studied with world-renowned teachers including Karen Frischmann, Ken Krech, and many other respected Classical instructors. In 2023, she deepened her studies through specialized training with Karen Frischmann in Los Angeles and continues to refine her craft through mentorship and ongoing education. Yunjeong opened her first studio, Piladio, in Seoul, South Korea in 2016, quickly expanding to a second location the following year. In 2021, she relocated to Vancouver—her husband’s hometown—and founded Blooming Pilates, where she continues to share her passion for Classical Pilates. Known for her detail-oriented and challenging teaching style, Yunjeong works with clients of all ages and backgrounds—from athletes to seniors—helping each person move with clarity, strength, and purpose. She believes that true teaching begins with deeply understanding and embodying the work oneself, and that Pilates, when practiced with sincerity, can transform not just the body but the entire being. “For me, Pilates is a lifelong journey—one that continues to challenge, change, and inspire.”
