About Triana

If Triana’s earliest availability does not meet your needs, please do not hesitate to contact her via email to explore alternative arrangements. Triana completed her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Regina in 2018. Triana has worked in the field of mental health for 10 years, both before and after graduation. She has accumulated a great deal of practical and clinical experience in the areas of anxiety and depression as well as bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, psychosis and working within the queer community. Triana has extensive experience working within Indigenous communities with a strong emphasis on Truth and Reconciliation. Triana’s experience also includes supporting individuals with life transitions, interpersonal difficulties, self-esteem, substance misuse, anger management, childhood trauma and self-harm. Triana can be described as authentic, compassionate and enthusiastic, which has benefited her in working with children and teenagers. Triana previously facilitated a program at the YWCA for 5 years, providing children and youth with a safe space to improve self-esteem, learn tools to express themselves better and problem-solve. Triana values organization and goal setting; therefore, she often uses solution-focused and client-centred approaches with an emphasis on self-empowerment. As a first-generation Canadian to immigrant parents, Triana values practicing culturally sensitive counselling. Triana’s interests include travelling, reading, learning new languages (she speaks fluent French and is actively learning Spanish and Romanian), scrapbooking, fashion and playing tennis.
