About Trevor
As a Registered Social Worker with a Masters degree in Health and Bachelor degrees in Social Work and Physical Activity Studies I am prepared to assist you in your healing journey.
I have been in recovery, from alcohol and drugs, for 30 years and count my blessings every day. I am grateful for my sobriety. I have learned that I am able to help other people and that is what I have dedicated my life to.
I believe we need to work on all aspects of our lives and need to focus on the whole person (Physical, Mental, Emotional and Spiritual) in order to heal. There are many approaches to healing. For example we can tap into our culture for traditional healing practises, we can go to self-help programs, we can access holistic healing programs or therapeutic interventions such as counselling. All of these approaches will assist us in our healing. The important thing is to recognize help is available and we do not have to go on our journey alone. Our friends, family and community services are all there to assist us as we make changes in our lives.
As a service provider I work as a Mental Health Therapist and I would be happy to meet with you to see if I can be part of your healing.
