Born and raised in the Kootenays, Travis developed a passion for sports and movement early in life. He was selected and signed by the Milwaukee Brewers during the 2007 MLB draft before sustaining an elbow injury which required surgery and more than 10 months of physical therapy.
This experience sparked his interest in the world of rehab and a desire to better understand how to prevent and treat orthopaedic injuries. Travis would go on to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics at UBCO in Kelowna (2020) and a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy at UBC in Vancouver (2022). He believes movement is truly medicine and combines this principle with hands-on manual therapy and education to help clients achieve their goals.
Travis briefly provided physiotherapy services at UBC Hospital in Vancouver and more recently as a private practitioner based in Kelowna. He has a special interest in injury prevention, motor control, athletic performance and sustainable training methods. When not in the clinic, he's likely training or searching for the best coffee and food in Kelowna with his partner Taylor.
