About Tara

Tara (she/her) is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) who has been supporting children, teens and young adults in community, school and mental health settings for over 15 years. Showing up with warmth and a trauma-informed approach, clients find Tara down to earth and relatable, particularly kids and teens who can be harder to reach. Tara works with individuals facing issues related to attachment challenges, PTSD and complex trauma, burnout, depression, anxiety and relationship difficulties. She is passionate about supporting clients across the lifespan—whether you’re a child, teen, adult, couple, or family—by creating a space where you feel heard, valued, and supported. Her approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and rooted in social justice, recognizing how systemic inequalities can impact mental health and well-being. Tara integrates elements from CBT, DBT, EFT and Gottman therapeutic approaches into her practice. Outside of counselling, Tara loves walking the seawall, soaking up the sun, and spending time with her young family.
