About Tara-Leigh
SISU is a Finnish concept reflective of the tenacity and determination which has sustained you through difficult times. Working together with this perspective, we seek to translate these experiences into growth and hope for the future. With over 25 years of experience, my skills have been developed through my work with those in conflict with the law including mental health (forensic psychiatry), within post-secondary institutions and sexual trauma and violence. These diverse contexts provide me with unique perspectives by which to approach your concerns together both individually and in groups.
I use various approaches such as person centered, attachment, narrative, trauma informed practice and mindfulness. I work in areas not limited to domestic violence, sexual violence, transitions and abuse from structural organizations, such as faith based. I also provide supervision and clinical support to students and professional workers in human services.
If you are feeling like you need support for your journey, reach out. No one is designed to do life on their own.
