About Tara

Tara was born and raised in Richmond Hill. She was always a good student, and always stayed very active in activities such as horseback riding, skating, dance, soccer, and basketball. She chose to focus her skills on the court and she was recruited to play for York University Varsity Basketball team.. Here, she was an OUA All Star and named the York University Rookie of the Year. She finished her degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences with her now husband Alex Gurba. She always had a love for animals, which led her to take another path to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. She worked as an RVT for 5 years. In August 2017, Tara gave birth to two beautiful and healthy miracle twin babies, and is a very proud (and busy) mom. Tara enjoys running with her double stroller, baking healthy treats, and going to the park with her family. She has always had a passion for health and fitness, and when Alex decided he wanted to open a multidisciplinary clinic, she knew she wanted to help create something special for her family.
