“I booked a 60-minute hands-on massage therapy session with Tanya. I arrived on time and took about 3 minutes to fill out the intake form. Tanya asked if I needed to use the washroom, which I did, and we spent a few minutes discussing my needs and the approach for the treatment. However, due to this consultation, we began the actual treatment 10-13 minutes after booked time, and it ended promptly in 45 minutes.
When I inquired at the front desk, Tanya explained that the 60 minutes included the intake form, washroom break, and our discussion. However, none of this was indicated in the booking confirmation email or on your website. The email specifically describes a 'hands-on massage therapy session,' with no mention that intake and washroom breaks are included in that time, nor that clients should arrive early to accommodate these activities.
I’ve had numerous experiences with massage and physiotherapy professionals, none of whom have included intake forms or washroom breaks in the paid service time. Furthermore, the conversation Tanya conducted about these details was loud and in front of another customer, which felt uncomfortable and unprofessional.
I left feeling distressed, which was the opposite of my goal in booking a massage therapy session.
Follow up:
I reached out to the business, but the response sidestepped my concerns, focusing instead on unrelated policies and making unwarranted assumptions about my prior experiences with other establishments. While they offered a 15-minute credit, their handling of the situation left me feeling uncomfortable.”Read moreShow less
