About Tanya
Tanya has worked in mental health and wellness for more than 20 years, providing compassionate psychotherapy to people seeking to better understand themselves and heal from experiences that continue to shape their lives.
Sometimes the things we carry show up quietly, in our relationships, our work, our bodies, or in the feeling that we are simply trying to keep it all together. It can feel as though everyone else has it figured out, while we are struggling to find our footing. Beneath it all is a deeply human desire to move through life with more ease, presence, and connection.
Working from a trauma-informed and culturally humble lens, Tanya helps clients understand how past experiences, chronic stress, and the demands of everyday life can shape our emotional patterns, relationships, and sense of self. She believes therapy can be a place to slow down, make sense of what we carry, and reconnect with the strengths that have been there all along.
Guided by a deep love for people and community wellness, Tanya’s approach is grounded in safety, compassion, and genuine respect for each person’s lived experience. Her hope is that therapy becomes a place where you can come as you are, feel understood, and begin to create more choice in how you move through your life.
Tanya is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
Outside of her work, Tanya loves to laugh and believes sharing moments of joy with her husband and close friends is one of life’s greatest treasures. When she isn’t working, you’ll likely find her travelling with her husband, discovering beautiful places around the world, or enjoying the natural beauty of Vancouver Island.
