About Talia

Therapist in training Working under the supervision of Iriny Youssef, Registered Psychotherapist Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming. I believe everyone deserves a space where they feel genuinely heard, understood and accepted. My goal is to create a warm, collaborative and non-judgmental environment where you can explore life's challenges at your own pace while building on your unique strengths. I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling and Spirituality at Saint Paul University, where I am training in individual psychotherapy under clinical supervision. I provide counselling to a diverse population at the Saint Paul University Counselling Centre and have experience supporting individuals in crisis through my work as a Crisis Line Responder with the Distress Centre of Ottawa. I enjoy working with adolescents, young adults, adults and elderly experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, relationship challenges, grief, emotional regulation difficulties, personality/mood disorders, identity exploration and burnout. I also welcome clients navigating cultural identity, family dynamics, academic/career stress and those simply looking to better understand themselves and grow. My approach is integrative and tailored to each individual's needs. I draw from person-centred, strengths-based, mindfulness and emotion-focused approaches while recognizing that every person's story is unique. I value authenticity, curiosity and building a strong therapeutic relationship. I believe meaningful change begins when clients feel safe enough to be themselves. Outside of the therapy room, I value creativity, lifelong learning and finding balance through exercise, music, cinema and spending time with the people who matter most. I consider it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they navigate life's challenges, celebrate their successes and work toward creating a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling.
