About Sydney
Sydney has a diverse and well-rounded background in both therapeutic and spa-based care. Her massage journey began in 2008 at the Maui School of Therapeutic Massage in Makawao, Hawaii. After practicing briefly in Tofino, she returned to her hometown of Nelson, BC, where she worked as a spa practitioner before choosing to further her clinical education.
She graduated from MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy in Calgary in 2013 and successfully challenged the BC board exams in 2015, becoming a Registered Massage Therapist with the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia. From 2015 to 2025, Sydney built a thriving practice in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island, serving a wide range of clients with dedication, warmth, and professionalism.
Sydney approaches massage therapy with a slow, specific, and adaptable style. She draws from a variety of techniques, but rather than applying a set method, she tailors each treatment based on the needs, preferences, and feedback of the patient. She places strong value on patient comfort and perception, recognizing that positive, supportive experiences can influence how effective treatment feels and functions-offering intuitive, responsive care that supports relaxation of the nervous system and overall well-being.
Sydney is dedicated to continuing education, with a strong interest in evidence-based practice. She continually seeks to integrate the latest research into her treatments, ensuring her clients receive effective, informed care.
Now returning to Nelson with her family, Sydney is grateful to bring over a decade of experience back to the community that first sparked her passion for therapeutic touch.
