Sydney is a social worker registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW).
Sydney uses a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive and anti-oppressive approach to counselling, and values the importance of meeting each client where they are at in their healing process. Sydney works collaboratively and provides a safe and non-judgemental space for clients to reflect on the impacts of their experiences and gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their mental health. She hopes to support clients to develop healthy coping strategies that will help them manage and live with challenging thoughts, emotions and behaviors.
Sydney has experience working with youth and adults who are living with complex mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, emotion dysregulation, ADHD, substance use and the impacts of trauma. She incorporates various therapeutic interventions to meet each client’s needs including ACT, Motivational Interviewing, CBT and DBT skills
