About Suvi
I am a client-centered therapist who uses an integrated approach. I draw on my education, training, and experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Relational-Cultural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and much more.
I believe that in a nurturing and safe environment, we all have the capacity for healing, growth, and finding our own answers. My job is to collaborate with you and facilitate the conditions that will allow you to challenge your fears, discover your strengths, generate your own insights, and reach your personal goals. I customize and structure my approach based on your individual issues, personality, goals, and objectives.
With over 15 years of experience in the mental health and counselling fields, I have worked with children, adolescent, adult, and senior clients with a wide range of presenting issues including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, cultural identity, gender and sexuality, career, and life transitions, as well as relationship and family conflict.
I work from a trauma-informed, anti-racist, and anti-oppressive framework.
