About Sunita
Sunita Kaushal is the Founder and the Primary Clinical Counsellor at Explore Wellness Inc. Sunita completed her Master’s in Counselling Psychology degree from Yorkville University, Ontario. Sunita has a special interest in working with youth and their caregivers and families using her strong client and family centred focus and enable them to maximize their optimal recovery. Sunita’s gentle and welcoming approach means that she is quickly able to develop rapport with her clients and build foundation for a trusting and reliable working relationship. Sunita has developed skills in both individual and group therapy Including couples counselling. Sunita has excellent listening skills and believes in forming collaborative partnerships when working with her clients. She has high regard for diversity and she firmly believes that any treatment modality must synchronize with individual‘s cultural belief system. Prior to completing her Master’s degree, Sunita worked at the University of the Fraser Valley with international students for over 10 years. Sunita has an undergraduate degree in Adult Education. With her years of experience of working within academic field and assisting others, you can rest assured that you are going to receive competent and professional service from Sunita.
Sunita is always to keen learn new skills and new evidence based treatments in the field of Psychology. She undergoes regular skill building workshops and attends training to stay abreast of modern advances in treatment and the latest researched evidence.
