Hi, I’m Steve!
I’m a graduate of the Acupuncture program at MacEwan University, and my journey into acupuncture has been both professional and deeply personal. With a background in biomedical engineering, I’ve spent years working in clinical and laboratory settings. However, acupuncture has been a part of my life long before it became my career. Having received treatments since childhood, I’ve experienced firsthand the profound effects of this form of medicine in managing stress, sports injuries, and overall well-being. These early experiences sparked my deep respect for holistic healing and ignited my lifelong interest in Eastern medicine.
I combine my healthcare experience with a genuine appreciation for Eastern medicine to offer a balanced, patient-centered approach to care. I would be honored to work with you on your healing journey.
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy spending time on the North Saskatchewan River and exploring the trails around Edmonton!
###NAET — General Information Before Booking
NAET (Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Techniques) is a complementary approach that may incorporate acupuncture and other techniques to address an individual’s reported sensitivities to specific substances or stimuli.
Reported sensitivities may include, for example:
- Foods and beverages
- Pollen and seasonal allergens
- Dust and dust mites
- Mold
- Animal dander
- Chemicals and fragrances
- Medications and supplements
- Environmental substances
NAET Treatment Approach
- Treatment begins with an assessment and follows a structured treatment sequence. A foundational routine of commonly addressed substances is generally completed before moving on to an individual's specific or more complex sensitivities. This foundational work is intended to establish a baseline and prepare for addressing more specific concerns.
- The number and sequence of treatments can vary depending on the individual and their response to treatment. Progress is assessed throughout the process, and the treatment approach may be adjusted accordingly.
Important Information
NAET is not medical allergy testing and does not diagnose, confirm, or replace conventional allergy testing or medical assessment. It is intended as a complementary therapy to support overall health and well-being.
NAET is not intended for emergency allergy management or the treatment of anaphylaxis. Individuals with a history of severe or anaphylactic allergic reactions should continue to follow their established medical care and emergency action plan.
NAET may be provided to individuals from infancy through adulthood. For children under approximately 10 years of age, a surrogate may be required to participate in muscle testing, depending on the child's age, ability, and the assessment approach used.
Insurance & Direct Billing
- NAET treatments that do not include acupuncture needling may not be recognized as acupuncture services by your extended health benefits provider. For this reason, NAET treatments are not directly billed to insurance. Patients are responsible for payment at the time of treatment and may submit their receipt to their insurance provider for consideration of reimbursement.
This is an auricular acupuncture treatment only for returning patients. This is a sliding scaled treatment because it can be needles only, or needles + seeds combined
