About Steven
Hi, my name is Steven Graham, and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and work with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, addiction, grief, relationship
difficulties, shame, self-criticism, and periods of feeling stuck or disconnected.
I believe many of the ways we struggle in the present have roots in earlier experiences,
relationships, and ways of protecting ourselves that once made sense. Therapy offers a space to
slow down, become curious about those patterns, and discover new ways of relating to yourself and others.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in relational psychodynamic psychotherapy,
while drawing from evidence-based approaches such as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT),
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), alongside existential perspectives, when they support your goals. I see therapy as more than symptom reduction—it is an opportunity to deepen self-understanding, build emotional resilience, and live with greater freedom and
intention.
Special Interests
Outside the therapy room, I have a longstanding love of fitness, film, literature, music, and
philosophy. I have also volunteered as a facilitator supporting adults in addiction recovery at
Bellwood Health Services. When meaningful, these interests can become part of our work
together, offering meaningful ways to understand experiences that can be difficult to put into
words and, ultimately, live with greater freedom and intention.
