About Steven

Science in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario, and he went on to complete a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto. Steven is a registered Physiotherapist. He has been serving patients in the Mississauga, Peel, Oakville, Greater Toronto area for over 17 years. Steven was inspired to become a Physiotherapist during high school. He developed a passion for understanding how the human body works and moves. This led him to his first degree in kinesiology, where he continued to focus on movement science and research. During his degree, he was very interested in how movement science can be used to help those with injuries; this led him to continue his academic training of science of physical therapy. Dr. Steven enjoys seeing the ‘ah-ha!’ moments for clients, when someone who has pain and not able to move gets that relief, or when a client with a stroke is able to walk independently for the first time. His areas of interest are stroke rehab, complex orthopedic & neurological rehab, motor vehicle accident rehab, and post-operative rehab (ACL reconstruction, hip/knee replacements). He focuses on evidence based scientific training principles and applies them to all areas. He prefers to use hands on myofascial techniques and functional based movements. He is also a certified Fascial Distortion Model Provider and Kinesiotaping Practitioner. Additionally, he has a Neurogym certified therapist. Dr. Steven has a passion for skiing and has developed a snowFIT program at Life Time to get skiers and snowboarders in shape for the winter season and on the slopes.
