About Stephanie
I was inspired to become a therapist through my own healing journey and the transformative impact therapy had on my life. During my adolescent years, I experienced a meaningful therapeutic relationship that provided steady support as I worked through trauma, loss, and an eating disorder. This process was integral to my recovery and deepened my belief in the power of compassionate, attuned care. That experience continues to guide how I show up for the clients I work with today.
Over the past fifteen years, I have supported children, adults, and families through a wide range of life challenges and transitions. My work across schools, community services, shelters, and counselling settings has strengthened my commitment to compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed care. With a background in social work, mental health, and counselling psychology, I take an integrative and individualized approach to therapy.
I am passionate about supporting the whole person and recognizing the connection between mind, body, and spiritual wellbeing. I believe healing is supported through self-awareness, connection, and creating space for reflection, growth, and change. My goal is to offer a therapeutic environment that feels safe, supportive, and responsive to each client’s unique needs and experiences.
My work is rooted in trauma-informed care and integrates primarily body-based and experiential approaches. I draw from modalities such as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Somatic Experiencing (SE). These approaches support emotional regulation, self-understanding, and meaningful change through both insight and embodied awareness.
