About Stephanie
Stéphanie is a bilingual Massage Therapist, registered and in good standing since 2003. She graduated from Algonquin College and has been practicing at Align since 2005 and owner of Align Rockland since its opening in March 2019.
Stephanie is a strong advocate for one’s right to Health. Thanks to her upbringing her definition of health has always included the mind, the body and spirit. Having worked in various healthcare settings throughout her life, she found her place in hands on work that combines her passions of health sciences and the arts.
Stephanie's approach to health is intergrative. Her treatments are curated with you to attain your short or long term plans towards health and restoration. She holds strong to Swedish Massage as a foundation to her treatment plan all the while weaving advanced techniques and related trainings some of which include:
*Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Decongestive Therapy / Myofascial Release / Cranio-Sacral Therapy. Lvl I and II / Somato Emotional Release Lvl I / Therapeutic Touch lvl I and II / Mental Health First Aid / Yin Yoga and Mat Pilates to incorporate with homecare.
Her interests are working with scar tissue and its restrictions, pain and limitations related to conditions of an « immunocompromised » nature (ex. arthritis, fibromyalgia, lupus, ...) or injury, and helping clients cope with a work or compassionate burnout.
Outside of the clinic, Stephanie can be found; gardening, paddling, restoring furniture, cooking and eating, helping her spouse with renovations and most of all enjoying time with family and friends. Oh and travel!
