About Stella

#About Stella I graduated from the University of Alberta’s Master of Science in Physical Therapy program after earlier completing my undergraduate degree in Science (majoring in kinesiology) from the University of Calgary. While at the U of C, I played varsity volleyball for the Dinos women’s team. Both my academic background and my experience as an athlete solidified my passion for movement, performance, and injury prevention. Having had my own experiences with significant sports-related injuries and witnessing those of my teammates and friends, I learned, firsthand, the importance of physiotherapy in risk mitigation and in healing the body when injuries have occurred. As a young athlete, I was fortunate to receive exceptional care from physiotherapists at the Bridge; this played a major role in inspiring my career path and influencing my approach to physiotherapy. It’s incredibly meaningful to have come full circle and have the opportunity treat in a patient centred clinic that focuses on long-term outcomes. Outside my time at the clinic, I enjoy being with family and friends, often in the mountains – skiing and hiking. Most recently, I have taken up pottery and love working with my hands in a creative way.
