Sophia graduated from the Vancouver School of Bodywork and Massage in 2012 and the Registered Massage Therapy program at Langara College in 2018.
Having experience in both bodywork and clinical massage, Sophia has an approach that integrates her in-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and systemic conditions with her understanding of the other complex factors that influence pain and recovery. Sophia has also worked as a clinical instructor at Langara’s RMT program.
Her treatment style consists of relaxation techniques targeting the nervous system, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and passive and active stretching. Sophia leads with patient centred care and believes in patient education and empowerment. Sophia loves providing home care recommendations when patients are interested.
Sophia is always adding further tools to her practice through ongoing education including training to help bridge the gap in care for people recovering from surgeries including mastectomies, top-surgery, and augmentation.
In her free time, you can find Sophia in her garden with her rescue dog and turtle. Weightlifting, on forest adventures, beachcombing and crafting!
