About Simmi

Hi, I'm Simmi Uppal, a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC). I support children, teens, young adults, couples, and families through anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, eating disorders, and major life transitions. I am especially passionate about helping young women strengthen their confidence, explore their identities, and feel more secure in themselves and their relationships. I also work alongside parents to better understand their child’s emotional needs, improve communication, and build stronger family connections. My approach is tailored to each client's unique needs and integrates evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and play-based interventions. As a South Asian therapist, I value the role that culture, family, and identity play in our lives and strive to provide culturally responsive care. I believe therapy is a collaborative process and feel privileged to support clients on their journey toward healing and growth.
