About Sarthak
I've been practicing massage therapy since 2019, and I've always been fascinated by anatomy and physiology — by how much that knowledge can change someone's recovery when it's actually put to use. I studied Honours Psychology at the University of Waterloo before training as a massage therapist at the National Institute of Massage in Brampton, and both backgrounds shape how I work with clients today, one for understanding the body, the other for understanding the person in front of me.
Early on, I worked in a multidisciplinary rehab clinic alongside chiropractors and physiotherapists, treating overuse injuries, acute conditions, and chronic pain. That experience taught me to think beyond where it hurts. When you come in with pain, I'm looking at the surrounding regions and movement patterns that might be feeding into it, because the cause and the symptom aren't always in the same place. Depending on what your body needs, treatment might include deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, cross-fibre friction, active release, joint mobilizations, cupping therapy, or Graston Technique.
I also think education is part of the treatment, not separate from it. I want you to leave understanding what's going on with your body and why, not just how it feels in the moment. That's usually paired with specific stretches or exercises you can do between sessions, because lasting change happens outside the clinic as much as inside it.
Outside of work, I'm big into fitness and strength training myself, which keeps me grounded in what real bodies actually need to move, lift, and recover well.
