About Sarah

Sarah MacIsaac- Speech-Language Pathologist Sarah MacIsaac is a Speech-Language Pathologist at Allied Therapy who completed her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology with a specialization in Neuroscience at the University of New Brunswick before earning her Master of Clinical Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Western University. Sarah works primarily with preschool- and school-aged children with a range of communication and developmental needs. Her clinical interests include early language development, speech and language delays, autism-related communication differences, fluency and stuttering, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). She has a particular passion for early language intervention and supporting families during the foundational years of communication development. Sarah works collaboratively with parents and caregivers to identify meaningful communication goals and develop practical strategies that can be incorporated into everyday interactions and routines. Sarah has a strong interest in AAC and multimodal communication, helping children access communication systems that allow them to express themselves in ways that are functional and meaningful to them. Her approach recognizes that there is no single right way to communicate and focuses on finding supports that reflect each child’s individual strengths and communication needs. Before completing her graduate training, Sarah worked in the Language Development Lab at the University of New Brunswick, contributing to research examining the behavioural and neurocognitive processes involved in language and reading development. This research background continues to inform her commitment to evidence-informed practice and thoughtful clinical decision-making. Sarah values family-centered, neurodiversity-affirming, and collaborative care. She enjoys working alongside families, educators, and other clinicians to create individualized therapy plans that support communication and participation across the environments that matter most to each child. Sarah is based in Halifax, Nova Scotia and provides speech-language therapy to children and families in-clinic and within the community.
