About Sara

Sara is a dedicated and passionate psychotherapist who has been helping people from diverse backgrounds for over 15 years in educational contexts and has experience as a distress centre responder. She has a diverse academic background with degrees in business and humanities and is set to graduate soon with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP). Sara’s approach to therapy is based on a strength-based, trauma-informed perspective and integrates techniques from various evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. She also believes in the transformative power of mindfulness and incorporates it into her work. Having lived in three different countries, Sara has gained a deep understanding of the challenges that immigrants face when integrating into new cultures and lifestyles. She has a particular passion for helping individuals from different cultural backgrounds adjust to their new surroundings. Sara values cultural responsiveness and social justice, and she always strives to create a safe and inclusive environment for all of her clients. Sara’s compassionate and collaborative approach empowers her clients to work through their challenges in a supportive and safe environment. She believes that everyone has the potential to heal and grow and she is committed to helping her clients live their best lives.
