About Sanjeev

Sanjeev is a Registered Provisional Psychologist who believes therapy should do more than help people cope with difficult moments; it should help them understand what is keeping them stuck and build a life they feel more confident living. He works with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, emotional regulation challenges, workplace stress, burnout, and major life transitions. His approach focuses on helping clients recognize the patterns contributing to their distress while developing the insight, resilience, and practical skills needed for meaningful and lasting change. Sanjeev understands that emotional struggles rarely exist in isolation. Anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship concerns are often shaped by a combination of life experiences, beliefs, coping patterns, and present-day pressures. Rather than focusing only on symptom reduction, he works collaboratively with clients to understand the deeper factors influencing their concerns and to identify realistic steps toward change. His therapeutic style combines compassion with structure. Clients can expect a respectful and supportive environment where difficult experiences can be explored honestly, while also receiving clear direction and practical strategies they can apply outside of therapy. Sanjeev believes therapy is most effective when clients feel understood but also leave with greater clarity about how to move forward. His work is grounded in evidence-based practice and adapted to the individual needs of each client. He draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Exposure and Response Prevention, trauma-informed approaches, mindfulness-based interventions, and Gottman Method principles when appropriate. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, he selects interventions based on each client’s needs, goals, strengths, and readiness for change. Sanjeev completed his master’s degree in psychology at DAV University in India. After moving to Canada, he completed additional psychology coursework through Athabasca University to further develop his academic foundation and meet Canadian professional requirements. He has also pursued extensive professional training in evidence-based approaches related to anxiety, trauma, mood concerns, emotional regulation, relationships, grief, suicide intervention, and behavioural change. Clients working with Sanjeev can expect therapy to be collaborative, respectful, practical, and purposeful. He values honest conversations, thoughtful reflection, and meaningful action. His goal is to help clients gain a clearer understanding of themselves, strengthen their ability to respond to challenges, and build lives that are guided by their values rather than controlled by fear, distress, or past experiences. Sanjeev has availability on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Book a session with Sanjeev today and take the first step toward the care and support you deserve.
