About Sally

Hello, I’m Sally Lygo. I’m the Clinical Director and Lead Physiotherapist at Larch House, with more than 20 years of experience in physiotherapy. My background includes working in the UK’s National Health Service and spending 11 years as a British Army Physiotherapy Officer. I have extensive experience in sports injuries, tendon rehabilitation, trauma, orthopaedic conditions, stress fractures, and persistent pain. As a former competitive rower and endurance athlete, I understand firsthand the physical and mental demands of training, injury, and recovery. I work with people of all ages—from athletes to active older adults—helping them understand their bodies, rebuild strength and confidence, and return to the activities that matter to them. Hands-on treatment can be helpful, but I believe movement and strength are also essential parts of recovery. My approach combines evidence-informed physiotherapy with practical, individualized rehabilitation that supports long-term progress. My goal is not simply to help you get through an injury. It is to help you regain the strength, confidence, and freedom to return to the life you love—whether that means sport, work, family, or simply trusting your body again.
