If you are feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, unsettled, or unbalanced with life, in relationships, or even at work- asking for help is hard! I can help you develop healthy coping skills, navigate powerful emotions, and communicate effectively in challenging situations. With the goal to help you build and broaden your personal strengths, I invite you to bring your unique toolbox to counselling. I believe that in an environment of unconditional respect and empathy, every individual has the ability to achieve significant and sustainable change. My approach to counselling embraces both Eastern and Western philosophies of holistic healing including compassionate, culturally sensitive and trauma-informed practice of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT). When suitable for my clients, I am comfortable incorporating other practices. Clients have described me as “warm, kind, and non-judgmental”. Clients also expressed that they “appreciated our deep personal conversations and all tools provided”. I am comfortable conversing in Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu.
