About Renata
Renata is a compassionate and curious psychotherapist who brings empathy, humour, and a deep respect for each person’s inner wisdom to her work. She is dedicated to creating a safe, open, and collaborative space where clients can explore their experiences, deepen self-understanding, and move toward meaningful change.
Renata holds a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and an Honours BA in Psychology with a Minor in Environmental and Health Science from Glendon College, York University. Her practice is grounded in years of academic study, clinical experience, and ongoing professional development.
Renata works with individuals, couples/relationship partners and families, navigating a wide range of concerns, including relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, emerging mental health issues, and sexuality. She offers a warm, holistic approach that is individually tailored, integrating a socially just and culturally responsive lens to honour the unique identities and lived experiences of each client.
Her work is integrative and evidence-based, drawing from modalities such as Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and the Gottman Method. Renata also has specialized training in sex therapy through Wilfrid Laurier University and supports clients exploring issues such as desire discrepancies, sexual pain and dysfunction (e.g., erectile dysfunction, vaginismus), non-monogamy, kink, and the impact of culture and identity on sexuality and pleasure. She views sexuality and eroticism as deeply tied to our psychological well-being and connection to the body.
In addition, Renata has beginner-level training in CBT-E and offers support for individuals struggling with disordered eating and body image. As a certified Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Instructor with training in Hatha and Vinyasa yoga, she thoughtfully incorporates somatic and mindfulness-based practices into therapy when helpful.
Renata offers therapy in Macedonian and English. She is currently not accepting new clients.
