Hi! Thanks for stopping by. My name is Raquel McNamee, and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the CRPO and a Professional Art Therapist (DTATI).

###What is Art Therapy?
I'm so glad you asked. Art Therapy is a form of psychotherapy in which art-making and creative expression help you tell your stories, understand your experiences, and process your emotions where words are sometimes challenging. The process, use of colour, shape, and form as well as material choices, become a space for the exploration of your world in combination with conversation.
Instead of me asking you directly about your life, with the art I can make notice of symbolism, colour choices, and energy of your work to inquire and spark conversation with you about what you are depicting in the work. Pretty cool right? Most clients I've had think so.
