About Rachel

I do things differently & that's VERY intentional. Whether you're coming in as an individual or as a couple, my approach is the same at its core: I'm not here to just talk at you. I'm here to actually help you get somewhere. That means understanding where you're starting from, playing to your strengths, and giving you real tools you can use in real life- because if it isn't easy to use, you're not going to use it, and we both know that. With Couples: That starts before we're even in the same room as a group. I meet with each partner one-on-one first, so I can hear what the relationship looks like from your side- the highs, the lows, the hard moments, but also the fears and the goals you're carrying. All of that happens in a safe space, without the worry of upsetting your partner or doing more damage to the relationship. By the time we sit down together, I already have a full picture of what each person needs. From there, couples counselling with me is about action and accountability- not just talking in circles. I want to understand what each partner truly needs and give you tools you can put to work right away. I show up in a way that's realistic but compassionate: I will call you out when I think something is hurting you or your relationship, while also acknowledging how you got here and why you're showing up the way you are. My approach makes space for both of you to hold your own perspective. No one feels ganged up on, no one sits in the hot seat the whole time, and counselling never feels one-sided. For Individuals: It's the same energy. I work with people from all walks of life, and I love that diversity. There's no expectation to have it all together when you walk through my door- this is the place to come when you feel lost and need support figuring out what direction is meant for you. I want to be intentional about finding resources that actually fit your life, because cookie-cutter solutions don't work for real people. I'm results-driven, solution-oriented, and a realist. I'm going to give you real tools, review whether they're working, and if they're not, we're going to figure out why together. I want to see you be honest about your goals and intentional with your actions-so that when you get to where you want to be, you have everything you need to stay there and keep going. My ultimate goal, whether we're working on a relationship or on you as an individual, is that when we're done, you don't just feel better in the moment-you've built something sustainable. Something that feeds itself and gets stronger with time.
