About Austin
Austin brings a collaborative, evidence-based approach to helping clients improve mobility, function, independence, & confidence. His interest in physiotherapy grew from early exposure to the healthcare field & the opportunity to shadow family friends in the profession. A lifelong interest in athletics further deepened his appreciation for rehabilitation & injury management.
Austin earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Andrews University in Michigan. He has worked in outpatient, acute-care, & post-operative settings, gaining hands-on experience supporting people through a wide range of conditions & stages of recovery.
He is particularly interested in post-operative rehabilitation, pediatric care, & sports injuries, while remaining excited to work with clients of all ages & abilities. Austin believes treatment works best as a partnership: creating a practical, sustainable plan that supports progress both in & beyond the clinic. Exercise is a central part of his approach, with care tailored to each person’s goals & everyday life.
He especially enjoys guiding people through the rehabilitation journey surrounding joint replacement surgery—from pre-surgical preparation to restoring function & independence afterward.
Outside the clinic, Austin enjoys hockey, soccer, disc golf, skiing, & volleyball. He also loves exploring Red Deer with his wife & two daughters through biking & swimming. A self-described ocean enthusiast, he has swum with whale sharks in Mexico, seen penguins in Argentina, & surfed in Hawaii.
Austin joined Collegiate in August 2026.
