About Priya

Bhanupriya “Priya” Pathak graduated as a physiotherapist in India in 2008 and has been practicing physiotherapy in both India and Canada, with a strong focus on pediatric physiotherapy throughout her career. Over the years, she has continued to expand her clinical skills through various courses, including Neurodevelopmental Therapy (NDT) and Sensory Integration, allowing her to support children with a wide range of developmental and neurological needs. Alongside her pediatric practice, Priya has had the opportunity to work with young athletes and has developed a special interest in helping early teens recover from injuries and return to the activities and sports they love. She holds a Level 1 Dry Needling certification and has completed pediatric Kinesio taping courses, further enhancing her ability to support children and adolescents with sports injuries and age-related musculoskeletal conditions. More recently, Priya completed both adult and pediatric pelvic health courses, opening the door to a new area of physiotherapy that she has become particularly passionate about. Having personally experienced postpartum pelvic floor challenges, she understands how significantly these concerns can affect a woman’s physical well-being and confidence. This personal experience has motivated her to support and empower other women through their own pelvic health journeys. For the next six months, Priya has chosen to focus primarily on women’s pelvic health while also working with teens and adults. This opportunity allows her to step outside her long-standing focus on babies and children, explore a new specialty, and continue growing as a physiotherapist. Priya strongly believes that the best patient care comes from a collaborative approach. She values working closely with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that care is well-rounded, individualized, and focused on achieving the best possible outcomes. Outside of her clinical work, Priya is passionate about continued learning and believes that every new area of physiotherapy brings an opportunity to grow, learn, and better serve her patients.
