Life has this special way of getting overwhelming, fast. Everyone that has walked this earth knows that challenges are par for the course – try and avoid them as we may, there they are. While we may not be able to escape the challenging realities of life, we can learn how to change our relationship with them. When we use some carefully applied mindfulness and resolve, we are able to see challenges for what they are; not mountains to be conquered, but reflections of life’s most important relationship: the relationship to the self. What is it like to be me? What path will I take? These are questions that only you can answer. In counselling it is my privilege to walk alongside you as we come to reconcile a life full of experiences. I believe that counselling shouldn’t be complicated - it’s the simple process of getting to know yourself in a novel light, and making the conscious choice to approach old challenges in new ways. While there may be no “correct” step forwards in life, we can make sure that we approach our next steps with meaning and verve. What makes your heart sing? I look forward to walking alongside you as we explore your life’s meaning. For me, my heart is full when I’m counselling. I feel lucky every day that I get to sit in my counselling chair.
