Nilou is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (R.C.C.), and holds a Graduate Degree in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Her practice draws from many different therapy modalities such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), Somatic Experiencing, AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy), and Internal Family Systems.
She has been trained in EMDR and has completed several advanced level EMDR training certifications working with shame, structural dissociation, and other complex issues. She engages in ongoing consultation with experts in the field.
