About Nicole
Nicole Meades is very passionate about people. She loves her career in massage therapy as she has the opportunity to work with all kinds of people. Educating, supporting and providing relief from pain and discomfort is something she is grateful she is able to do. She has been in practice for 17 years, having graduated from Sutherland School and Teaching clinic and has worked in a variety of clinic settings, including yoga and pilates studios and many multidisciplinary clinics. She really enjoys the collaboration between different healthcare professionals as this creates such a well rounded and thorough treatment plan. People are complex and in order to really create lasting change, she believes this is the best approach.
She has had some additional training in pre and post natal massage and has ample experience support women and families through pregnancy and the months following. She is really passionate about supporting women through their pregnancy journey as this time is rich with rapid development and a need for mental and emotional support.
She has had experience as well with supporting all other members of the family. Fathers, teens, school-age kids and babies. She works a lot to help people who are suffering with tension due to stress and overwhelm, occupational and sports related injuries. She incorporates relaxation techniques such as body scans for intentional relaxation and diaphragmatic breathing into treatment to really help regulate the clients nervous system. She prides herself in providing a safe, inclusive client centered space. She is thrilled to be on this team and rooted in the Guelph community!
