About Nicholas

Nicholas grew up in Kitimat, a small town in Northern BC. Taking an interest in sports early on, he moved to Burnaby to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, with a concentration in Active Health and Rehabilitation, at SFU. To stay active through undergraduate, Nicholas started going to the university gym, eventually getting a job as weight room staff and gym trainer. After graduating SFU, Nicholas expanded his knowledge working several years as a Kinesiologist. He eventually took a big leap, moving down under where he recently completed his Master of Science in Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney. Nicholas uses a range of strategies to help with treatment that has an emphasis on patient education, fostering eventual patient independence, and gradual loading/progressions of exercises. He provides confidence to his patients who have chronic pain and want an active lifestyle. While he is a Kinesiologist again, he hopes to carry this approach into his eventual role as a Physiotherapist once his Australian based education is accredited by the Canadian Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulators. Outside of work, Nicholas can be found travelling abroad, lifting weights, playing sports, exploring the outdoors, cooking, and chasing astrophotography shots. Accreditations Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, SFU Master of Science in Physiotherapy, University of Sydney, BC SportsAid Taping, Standard First Aid CPR/AED Level Languages: English
