As a former high-level athlete, I had personal experience with various injuries which furthered my understanding of the recovery and rehabilitation process. Cascadia Chiropractic in Abbotsford played an integral part in the recovery of my sports injuries. Dr. Leung worked closely with me during the rehabilitation process to ensure health goals were met. Whether the injury be from hockey, football or rugby, the knowledge and patience he had to explain the condition to me and what I could do and expect was crucial to my recovery and gave me the confidence to return to playing at a high-level. Through these experiences, I developed a desire to help others with similar injuries and concerns.
I looked into massage therapy as a way I could help people recover, not only from sports injuries, but from the day-to-day stress we put on our bodies. I graduated from CDI College with a diploma in Massage Therapy in 2021. Now, as a Registered Massage Therapist, I am grateful to work with patients toward their wellness goals. I have found that utilizing a combination of deep tissue techniques, trigger point release, myofascial manipulation, patient education and homecare is crucial to understanding and treating an individual’s concerns. I look forward to the opportunity to serve the community I grew up in.
