Neeli holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. She is registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Neeli has over 10+ years working within the mental health and addictions sector supporting children, youth, young adults and families. Through her experience she has been able to respond to various needs of individuals and families to yield positive outcomes in their social and mental well-being. She has a diverse background in working within community based mental health settings as a Family, Child and Youth Therapist, Crisis Counsellor, Trauma Counsellor within a shelter setting, and as an Addictions Worker. She has an integrated approach in addressing emotional, psychological and behavioral challenges any individual or family unit may be encountering. Neeli utilizes evidence -based approaches to promote overall well-being, collaborate with individuals and family systems to enhance their ability to work through difficulty, and facilitate personal growth. As a BIPOC therapist, Neeli understands the intersections of cultural identity and mental well-being. She explores the unique challenges and opportunities that arise from a cultural lens and how this can be navigated through a therapeutic process. Neeli is fluent in Punjabi and English.
