Nathan grew up in Holyrood, attending Memorial University from 2014-2018 completing a Bachelor of Science (Honours) majoring in Kinesiology. He was then accepted into Dalhousie University’s Master of Science program in Physiotherapy moving to Halifax, Nova Scotia to attend in 2018. Nathan is currently practicing full-time with Eastern Health as an inpatient Physiotherapist
Nathan emphasizes evidenced-based treatment and patient-centered goal setting and has experience in a variety of settings including inpatient stroke rehab, neurology, oncology, post-operative rehab, and orthopaedics. His areas of interest are pain management, behaviour change, and patient education. Nathan also brings considerable experience as a certified kinesiologist, aerobics instructor, and fitness leader, which are invaluable skills to draw on when treating more chronic injuries.
Nathan enjoys playing guitar, running, hiking, and kayaking in his free time, as well as being a long-time advocate for learning self-defense and combat sports such as kickboxing, wrestling, and jiu-jitsu. Recently, Nathan has undertaken archery and trail running, as well as learning to play the drums. Nathan is empowered with a well-rounded perspective on musculoskeletal injury prevention and management, and passionately encourages patients to stay motivated and healthy.
