Nadawn has been practicing physiotherapy since 2003 when she graduated from the University of Alberta. Continuing professional education has focused on motor control, orthopedics, pelvic health and chronic pain.
Client education and empowerment are important to Nadawn, she encourages clients to learn more about their conditions and become experts in their own care. Caring about her clients she strives to form strong rapport and therapeutic relationships. Every client has individual needs and preferences which Nadawn recognizes; by embracing this diversity opportunity exists to explore new ideas and approaches to ensure that client needs are met in a flexible and responsive manner.
A curious and comprehensive therapist, Nadawn wanted to enhance her skills of assessment. Many clients with low back, pelvic or hip pain and/or post partum also have pelvic floor problems or symptoms. To focus on assessing and treating these clients more thoroughly Nadawn learned internal assessment techniques for the pelvic floor.
When not in the clinic, Nadawn is active with her young family. She models a healthy lifestyle and strives to balance her professional life and time with family.
