Mo Yamali brings over thirteen years of clinical experience to patients at Back in Motion in Coquitlam and Legacies Health Centre in Market Crossing. Born and raised in Amsterdam, Mo trained at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam before building a career that has spanned sports medicine, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, and injury recovery across Canada and the Netherlands.
Mo holds dual Master of Clinical Science degrees from Western University, one in Sport and Exercise Medicine and one in Comprehensive Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT) and holds an internationally recognized Sport Physiotherapy Canada (SPC) Diploma, reflecting advanced training in manual therapy and sport rehabilitation. Mo also mentors other clinicians pursuing these same certification pathways, sharing the skills he has developed over his career.
Mo treats a broad range of patients, from athletes managing sports injuries to individuals recovering from surgery, workplace injuries, and motor vehicle accidents, as well as those dealing with everyday aches and general orthopaedic concerns. He is comfortable working with WorkSafeBC and ICBC claims and takes a hands on, evidence based approach to every treatment plan, tailoring his care to what each patient actually needs to get back to the activities they love.
Fluent in English and Dutch with working knowledge of Turkish, Mo is able to connect with a wide range of patients and put them at ease from their very first visit. His international training and years of clinical practice give him a broad perspective on recovery, and he is known for taking the time to listen, explain, and build a plan patients can trust.
