About Moamen
If you are dealing with persistent pain, restricted movement, recurring headaches, an injury that
has not fully resolved, or a problem that keeps coming back, osteopathic care can help uncover
the movement and structural factors that may be contributing to your symptoms.
Moamen Balbaa is a Registered Manual Osteopath who combines osteopathic assessment and
manual therapy with a strong rehabilitation background to provide individualized care for people
looking to move better, manage pain, and return to the activities that matter to them. His
approach looks beyond the location of pain to understand how movement, posture, joint
mechanics, muscular tension, and the body's interconnected systems may be influencing the way
you feel and function.
Moamen holds a Doctoral degree in Osteopathy and a Master's degree in Human Health and
Nutritional Sciences, in addition to his background in physiotherapy and rehabilitation. This
broader clinical and academic training supports a comprehensive understanding of movement,
function, nutrition, and the factors that can influence recovery. It also helps him recognize when
a concern may benefit from a different area of healthcare and when osteopathic care may be
appropriate as part of the overall plan.
His clinical experience spans osteopathy, rehabilitation, outpatient care, and hospital settings,
where he has worked with a wide range of musculoskeletal and complex clinical presentations.
He combines hands-on osteopathic techniques with movement-based rehabilitation, exercise, and
practical education when appropriate, adapting treatment to the individual's presentation, goals,
and response to care.
Moamen's clinical interests include spinal and joint pain, sports and activity-related injuries,
persistent or recurring musculoskeletal pain, headaches and TMJ-related concerns, nerve-related
symptoms, and movement restrictions. Rather than treating every presentation in the same way,
he takes the time to understand the contributing factors and determine the most appropriate
approach to care.
When appropriate, Moamen works collaboratively with physiotherapists, chiropractors,
psychotherapists, dietitians, naturopaths, and other healthcare professionals within the
multidisciplinary team. By drawing on complementary areas of expertise when needed, he can
help ensure that patients receive broader, more coordinated support alongside their osteopathic
care
What sets Moamen's approach apart is the integration of hands-on osteopathic care with clinical
reasoning and movement rehabilitation. The goal is not simply to treat where you hurt, but to
understand why the problem may be persisting and help you develop the confidence and capacity
to move forward.
Whether you are recovering from an injury, managing a recurring problem, or simply looking to
move with less pain and greater ease, Moamen's approach is designed around helping you
understand your body, participate actively in your recovery, and work toward meaningful, lasting
improvements in function
