About Miriam

Growing up, I was always drawn to health, movement, and sports—particularly gymnastics and track and field. I was born and raised in Germany before moving to Canada at 18. Since then, I have lived across Canada and the Middle East. These experiences that have shaped who I am and deepened my appreciation for the diverse cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives of the people I meet. While living in Halifax, I completed my degrees in Kinesiology and Physiotherapy at Dalhousie University. Early in my training, I discovered my passion for pelvic health and women's health. This rapidly evolving field is a fundamental part of overall health and quality of life, yet it is often overlooked and surrounded by stigma. My goal is to create a safe, inclusive, and empowering space where conversations about pelvic health feel comfortable and free from judgment. My treatment approach is holistic, evidence-based, and person-centred. I consider the role of the nervous system, movement, lifestyle, stress, and each individual's unique experiences when developing a treatment plan. I strive to ensure every patient feels comfortable, respected, heard, and actively involved in their care. I have pursued extensive post-graduate training and mentorship and have a special interest in endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain, and sexual health. I also enjoy sharing evidence-based knowledge through education and presentations at medical conferences. Committed to lifelong learning, I am currently pursuing certification through The Menopause Society to further expand my expertise in menopause care. Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband and daughter and can often be found running, gardening, camping, or exploring the outdoors.
