About Michelle

I am a Registered Psychologist with a Master of Counselling Psychology from Athabasca University. I have 12 years of direct counselling experience working with individuals ages 12 and up, couples, and families facing a variety of mental health issues. My areas of experience include depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, addictions, PTSD, stress, trauma, grief and loss, relationship issues, eating disorders, etc. For 15 years I worked with Human Services in supporting youth and families in the community with various needs and challenges such as emotional, mental, and behavioural difficulties as well as trauma and addictions. In therapy, I use a variety of approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), and Narrative Therapy as well as other strength-based approaches and mindfulness strategies. I am also trained in EMDR Therapy used to treat traumas. I am passionate about supporting, encouraging, and empowering clients to improve their mental and physical well-being and achieve their goals.
