About Michelle
You may understand why you react the way you do and still find yourself repeating the same patterns. You might become overwhelmed in relationships. You may fear rejection, struggle to trust, put everyone else first or feel as though part of you is always waiting for something to go wrong. These patterns often make more sense when we understand what you have been through.
I specialize in working with adults who have experienced trauma, complex trauma and attachment-related wounds. I also support people navigating anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties and significant life changes.
My approach is warm and collaborative. I tailor our work to your needs and goals. We begin with what feels most important to you and move at a pace that respects where you are.
I integrate EMDR therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Somatic Experiencing into my work. This allows us to go beyond talking about what happened and explore the emotions, protective patterns, beliefs and nervous system responses that may still be affecting you today.
For some people, trauma is connected to a specific event. For others, it develops through repeated experiences over time. Difficult relationships, emotional neglect or instability can also have a lasting impact. Sometimes it comes from never feeling fully safe, supported or understood. You do not need to have a particular label for what you have been through in order for it to matter.
Therapy is a process we move through together at a pace that feels manageable for you. The focus is on helping you understand yourself more deeply, feel more grounded and gradually work through what continues to affect you.
I am a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist with advanced training in EMDR therapy, Internal Family Systems and Somatic Experiencing. I believe therapy works best when you feel understood and comfortable enough to be yourself.
Finding the right therapist matters. I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation so you can ask questions, learn more about how I work and decide whether I feel like the right fit for you.
Outside of my practice, I enjoy photography, spending time outdoors and being with my family and animals.
